A warm, healthy beverage, drinking matcha lattes is an almost-daily habit of mine. Perfect for any season, they provide a gentle, natural caffeine boost they are a great alternative to coffee.
1CupAlmond milkOr milk of choice (I like Malk Vanilla Almond Milk). If you prefer a less creamy beverage, you can use 1/2 cup almond milk and 1/2 cup of water.
3/4TspMatcha green tea powderI prefer organic, ceremonial grade matcha
1/4TspVanilla extractOptional
1ScoopCollagen peptidesOptional
Instructions
Pour almond milk into electric frother.
Add matcha green tea power to the almond milk by sifting it through a fine mesh stainless steal strainer. Do the same with the collagen peptides. This step helps break up the matcha and collagen to prevent any clumping.
Add the vanilla extract to the frother.
Froth on the warm setting until heated through. I prefer setting the temperature on my frother to about 140-150 degrees Fahrenheit and frothing the beverage twice.
When frothing is complete pour into a coffee mug and enjoy!

*For a festive, holiday matcha latte, try substituting peppermint extract for the vanilla extract.
